Seared Sesame Tuna
Recipe by Jamie Oliver
Serves 2-4
INGREDIENTS
• Sesame seeds
• 1 lb tuna steak
• Olive Oil
• 1/2 lb snap peas
• Green onion
• 1 T Yellow miso paste
•1 tsp sesame oil
•1-2 tsps vinegar
DIRECTIONS
Rub the miso evenly on all sides of the tuna steak.
Pour sesame seeds out liberally on a plate. Encrust the tuna with seeds on all sides, pressing them on as you go.
Heat a pan on medium heat and add olive oil. Heat the tuna for 1.5 minutes on each side.
Prep your string beans and green onion. First wash the beans, then grab or cut the tip of each snow pea and pull out the tough string that runs along its side. Cut the green onion thinly at an angle for long pieces.
Once the tuna is seared set it aside. Add 1 tsp sesame oil to the pan on medium high heat. Char the beans and onions for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add a touch of salt and apple cider vinegar.
Thickly slice the tuna and serve. Enjoy!
