OJAI
Ojai is only an hour and a half outside of LA, but you truly feel like you could be in Tuscany. Great wine, great food and gorgeous hillside views. The Ojai Valley Inn is a sanctuary on a golf course and we did not stop eating the entire time! For a more affordable option, Su Nido Inn has great deals and is walking distance to everything. They also have bikes available that you can ride around the town and along a few trails.
There are some really cute shops on the main strip of town and a few tasting rooms. Definitely stop to get some Ojai olive oil - they have a shop on the main street (Ojai Ave.) but they also do free tours at the olive groves about 5 minutes outside of town. I’m obsessed with the lemon infused olive oil! Topa Mountain Winery has tastings and live music on the weekends. So you can bring a picnic and just hang out, drink wine, listen to music and play lawn games.
Kate’s Bread is an Ojai staple in Ojai. Kate started baking in her mother’s home in the area and quickly became a huge success. Find out where to buy the fresh homemade bread here: https://www.katesbread.com/home/
