COSTA RICA was an adventure! We tried all kinds of new things like uni and some exotic fruit and also ate chilaquiles as much as possible (my favorite). The best moment was on our snorkeling trip when we saw tons of sea urchins and asked our guide if they could grab one for us. We kept them on ice for the boat ride back to the hotel, then asked the chef if he could prepare some fresh uni sushi for us. Our guides had never had uni before either! At first the chef looked at us like we were crazy, but then agreed to do it. It was my first time having uni and the experience was truly one-of-a-kind! It tasted like a creamy butter fish.
